The rules
Resident creators work under a services contract (prestación de servicios), are paid purely on revenue share, and keep full control of their own schedule and channels. Contracted hosts are employees under a contrato laboral with a base salary plus 5–10% of sales, and the accounts they host belong to the company. Most people start as residents. Both are registered properly under Mexican labour and tax law.
